In honor of 30 years of Peace Corps service in Moldova, we planted 1576 trees in honor of the 1576 Peace Corps Volunteers who served in Moldova. Together with the NGO One Million Trees Moldova, the Minister of Ecology, the US Ambassador, the Peace Corps Regional Director, the President of Moldova, and YOU, we marked mark the anniversary by planting a Peace Corps Moldova Community Forest. Not only was it a celebration of 30 fruitful years between Americans and Moldovans, it also created a positive impact on Moldova’s environmental ecosystem.
